Partners

The partners and the consultant of the Firm are Advocates of the High Court of Kenya and members of the Law Society of Kenya. In addition, Mr Raffman, Mr Elms and Mrs Elms are qualified as Solicitors of the Supreme Court in England and Wales. Mr Virdee and Ms Raval also completed the English Law Society Solicitors Finals.

Guy Elms

Guy Elms qualified as a Solicitor in England in 1991 and worked with Belmont & Lowe Solicitors in London between 1989 and 1994 handling residential conveyancing, wills, trusts, probate and forward tax planning ('private client matters') and commercial conveyancing and general commercial matters ('commercial matters').

He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1996 and worked with Kaplan & Stratton Advocates between 1994 and 1996 and then worked with Archer & Wilcock Advocates between 1996 and 2000, throughout this time handling commercial conveyancing and private client matters.

He became a partner of the Firm in 2001 and handles substantial commercial matters, real estate development, joint ventures, registration of trademarks and private client matters. He also is in charge of the Company Secretarial Department.

He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries, a Commissioner for Oaths a Notary Public and remain on the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.

Davinder Virdee

Davinder Virdee had internships with Marsh Regan Solicitors in London and Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Advocates and Rayani Rach & Sevany Advocates, in their commercial and conveyancing departments.

Following his pupillage with the firm of Mboya Raffman Advocates he was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1997 and handled conveyancing and commercial matters including the lease, hire purchase and outright purchase of commercial aircraft.

In 1999 he together with David Raffman as partners formed the firm Raffman & Co Advocates. In the Firm he handles bank securities, real estate development, residential and commercial conveyancing, company, commercial and intellectual property matters. He is also the Firm's managing partner specifically handling the IT of the Firm.

He is also a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.

Sonal Raval

Sonal Raval was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1995 and was previously a partner with Daly & Figgis Advocates in their Conveyancing and Commercial Department between 1995 and 2003 and thereafter she was a founding partner of Havelock Muriuki & Raval handling commercial and residential conveyancing, banking and bank securities, intellectual property and private client matters.

She became a partner of the Firm in 2011 and handles banking and bank securities, company registration, property and estate development, intellectual property, and general commercial and private client matters.

She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK and Kenyan branches).
